As each piece of custom cabinetry is designed to specific requirements and made from different materials, it is not possible to give you a quote before having a design concept consultation. Consultations may take place within the customers home, at the Fox Cabinets showroom or anywhere in-between!
We take great care to fully understand your design ideas, finishes and style you are looking to achieve before we present a proposal to you. We simply do not ‘throw’ a figure at the wall and ‘hope it will stick’ – we want to work with you to help you realise your dreams!
There are a number of components to take into consideration with every clients design requirements – such as materials, hardware, size and level of detail and complexity – not one size fits all when it comes to customised cabinetry and projects!
As an overview, the following areas all impact the base cost of your project;:
– The selection of the material makes a difference of up to 30% or more.
– Hardware selection varies wildly from premium brands to standard and generic.
– The number of drawers in a design will increase the overall outcome significantly.
– Customised cabinetry finishes, profiles and joinery will range from factory manufactured by the Fox team to hand made in your home by the Fox team.
– Stone varies from premium, to standard to multiple suppliers, thicknesses and applications.
– Tiling costs will vary depending on size of tiles, patterns, area and intricacy. Whether you have lighting or any other extras changes the price.
– Specialised designs such as Shaker/Hampton style, customised joinery, glass inserts and other elevated choices will increase the level of time, skill and labour.
As you can see – there are a number of variables to each custom job that will dictate your end price point.
Once we have gathered all of your personal preferences, customised specifications, and design choices, we will present a comprehensive proposal to you for your consideration – detailing package upgrade options if they are available. Your Proposal will:
– Provide a clear and precise scope of works outlining all materials, finishes and cabinetry included.
– Provide an accurate investment outcome
Upon accepting our proposal your design concept will be created and plans drawn in 3D colour rendering so you can clearly see what your project will look like.
Then we prepare to bring your dreams to life!
Upon acceptance of your project proposal, a check measure will be carried out with you. We will focus on appliance specifications, placement of accessories, plumbing, electrical, how you will use the space, what storage and heights you require and how you can elevate the end results. All measurements will be taken, plan layouts, modifications and specifications noted for the first draft of floor plans.
Your project will then be drawn to detail, and scale, and provided to you for sign off – complete with elevations, dimensions, materials, hardware and 3D images.
The process to this point could take as little as a few weeks or as long as several months. All of which depends on the speed you want to go.
Once your project plans have been completed, signed off and ready for commencement, your project is scheduled.
This is where the magic happens – it really starts to come to life!
Prior to onsite works commencing, Fox Cabinets will order all materials, hardware and accessories – ensuring minimal impact is made if there are delays in supply.
Once we have all of your materials, we commence manufacturing of your cabinetry and joinery – following strict quality control standards and expectations. The Fox team will also test assemble your cabinetry in our factory to ensure all components are correct. This ensures minimal downtime and impact to your home life.
Fox Cabinets have a small, experienced and dedicated team of contractors, certified specialists, suppliers and labourers that we work with. That way, we are always certain that we are delivering a level of high standards, consistent workmanship and proven outcomes.
Once we are confident we have your cabinetry and joinery available, we start onsite – we have a high standard of site cleanliness, respect and expectations of all of our teams. We ensure that your home is treated as if it is our own.
